Scout’s Honor is exactly what I wanted: short chapters detonating like bombs, relentless pacing, far future action on alien worlds. Scout’s Honor is a distillation of all the reasons why I started reading science fiction to begin with.
There are times when I just feel like escaping into a fun imaginary world, and Scout’s Honor is the perfect way to do that. It’s easy to read, hard to put down, and an all-around delightful way to spend a few hours for fans of sci-fi and fantasy alike. [Full Review]
[Scout’s Oath] is a wonderful continuation of a thrilling story-line that not only stands by itself as a fantastic and fast-paced action thriller, but also extends and gives delightful background and “back-story” to Scout’s Honor.
Along with the first two books of his series, Henry has made [Scout’s Duty] into a fun, easy read. This is an excellent introductory SF book for a young reader, but complex enough to entertain an adult. It reminds me in some ways of Burrough’s Barsoom novels. Finished all three books over the weekend, and will be looking for more. Well done!
